About

This Blog was created for LIBR 500: Foundations of Information Technology

The purpose of this blog is to survey the use of social software in academic libraries, specifically Twitter, Facebook and Tagging.   I analyze the use of Facebook in the University of Calgary and Yale University libraries, and the use of Twitter in  University of Alberta and Dalhousie University Libraries.  I also discuss the use of tagging and social bookmarking in the University of Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania’s library catalogue.
